NA approves 83 demands of grants of Rs4,577b
National Assembly has approved 83 demands for grants of more than Rs 4,577 billion, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Monday.
According to the channel report, the assembly has passed the demands of grants to 30 ministries, divisions and institutions.
During the session, the opposition did not move any austerity measures on the demands of the said ministries, divisions and institutions.
In the session, NA approved 5 demands of grants related to the defence sector of more than Rs1,579.74 billion. Two demands of more than Rs3.11 billion for defence production were passed.
Three demands of Rs14.90 billion were approved for Aviation Division and Rs10.19 billion for the airport security force. Two demands of more than Rs6.45 billion for the Commerce Division were approved.
For the Climate Change Division, two demands of more than Rs10.20 billion and for the Economic Affairs Division, two demands of more than Rs13.66 billion have been approved.
Nine demands of grants of more than Rs. 141.78 billion were approved for the Federal Education and National Heritage Division while 14 demands of the Finance and Revenue Division for more than Rs2,109 billion have been approved.
Two demands for more than Rs20.98 billion for housing and construction were approved. Two demands for the Human Rights department of more than Rs 1.84 billion were approved.
Two demands of more than Rs 36.48 billion for industry and production were approved. For the Information Technology Division, two demands of more than Rs14.37 billion were approved.
For the Inter-Provincial Coordination Division, two demands of grants of more than Rs5.57 billion. For Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Division, a demand of Rs1.14 billion has been approved.
Seven demands of more than Rs14.53 billion for the Law and Justice Division were approved and two demands of more than Rs4.64 billion for maritime affairs were passed.
For the Food Security Division, three demands of more than Rs25.16 billion have been approved. For the National Health Division, two demands of more than Rs31.95 billion were approved.
For Overseas Pakistan Division, a demand of Rs 1.88 billion and for Parliamentary Affairs Division, a demand of Rs481.6 million were passed.
For the Planning Division, three demands of more than Rs47.96 billion and for Poverty Alleviation Division, four demands of Rs372.81 billion were approved.
The National Assembly approved Rs236.9 million for Privatization Division and Rs1.28 billion for Religious Affairs Division while demand of Rs17.32 billion has been approved for Science and Technology Division.
For the Water Resources Division, two demands of more than Rs93.94 billion were approved.
