Treasury member Mian Jalil Sharqpuri MPA has suggested to the Nawaz League government to provide solar systems to poor masses instead of giving them a stipend of Rs2,000 per month.
He was addressing the Punjab Assembly’s (PA) Monday's session held here in Lahore at Aiwan-e-Iqbal. 
The PA session started with a delay of two hours and 50 minutes under the chairmanship of the member of Panel of Chairman Khalil Tahir Sindhu.
During the proceedings of the session, Mian Jalil Sharqpuri said that if the government provided a solar system to the people by signing an agreement with the bank, it will also help stop power theft.
Legislators Mian Tahir Jamil and Mahesh Sultana demanded an increase in subsidies for agriculture. Later, the chair adjourned the session till Tuesday at 2 pm.
