Two more cases of Congo Virus reported from KP

Two more cases of the Congo Virus were reported from Peshawar on Monday, taking the total number of people infected with the virus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to eight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Only three days ago, on June 24, 2022, 24News had reported that Congo Virus had taken yet another life in the country as a man admitted to Peshawar’s Hayatabad Medical Complex breathed his last.
The medical complex spokesman said that presently three patients with the virus were under treatment at the hospital while one patient was discharged following his recovery.
And as many as 10 days back, on June 17, 2022, 24News had reported that a serious threat of Congo Virus loomed over Rahim Yar Khan as three suspected patients had been admitted to the city’s Sheikh Zayed Hospital’s (SZH) intensive care unit; all of whom were butchers by profession.
The patients were identified as Fida Hussain, 22, from Mohalla Sadat, 22-year-old Mubashir and 17-year-old Hamza, both residents of Mohalla Qamarabad in Rahim Yar Khan.
