Court disposes of Aleema Khan’s bail plea in May 9 violence case
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Tuesday disposed of the pre-arrest bail petition of Aleema Khan, sister of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, in Jinnah House vandalism and arson case when the petitioner told the court she was withdrawing it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
ATC judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar heard Aleema’s petition.
Case no 96/23 was registered against her at Lahore’s Sarwar Road police station following incidents of violence on May 9 after the arrest of Imran Khan by Rangers from a court in Islamabad.
Hundreds of people took to streets in several cities of the country to register their protest against the arrest of their leader.
They ransacked and burnt government and military installations besides damaging memorials of Pakistan Army martyrs.
