Top leaders of key coalition partners meeting in Dubai

The top leadership of the two key allied parties – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) – met in Dubai, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

Former PM Nawaz Sharif hosted a dinner in honour of ex-president Asif Ali Zardari, sources said, adding that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maryam Nawaz were also present.

The dinner followed a meeting between the leadership of the key parties to deliberate upon the election date and issues related to the upcoming polls, the insiders said.

They added during the meeting, the ongoing political and economic situation of the country came under discussion.

Earlier in the afternoon, Maryam Nawaz met Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari and took them into confidence on core issues.

On the other hand, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif held key meetings in Abu Dhabi.
