Fatima Sana Shaikh steals spotlight at Umrao Jaan screening
Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has once again sparked buzz around her rumoured relationship with actor Vijay Varma after sharing a series of moments from the re-screening event of the classic film Umrao Jaan.
Held on June 26, the special screening celebrated the re-release of the iconic 1981 Rekha-starrer, drawing in a host of Bollywood A-listers including Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, and Anil Kapoor. But it was Fatima and Vijay’s presence and their appearances together that stole the spotlight.
Dressed in a traditional white outfit, Fatima posted several pictures from the event on Instagram, including a standout shot of Vijay Varma seated beside her as they watched the film. Another widely circulated photo features the duo sharing smiles in a group selfie alongside actress Nushrratt Bharuccha and celebrity designer Manish Malhotra.
In her heartfelt caption, Fatima praised Rekha’s timeless performance, describing it as a “magical experience” and admiring the veteran actress’s grace and subtlety. “Her eyes, her silence, her dignified demeanour – it was difficult to look away,” she wrote, framing the post as a tribute to Rekha but inevitably fueling speculation about her closeness with Vijay.
Although neither Fatima nor Vijay has officially commented on their relationship status, their recent public appearances, including a previous outing at a Mumbai café, have become fodder for gossip columns.
The speculation gains traction in light of recent reports hinting at Vijay’s alleged split from actress Tamannaah Bhatia, though neither party ever publicly confirmed the romance or the breakup.
