Two proclaimed offenders killed during police encounter in Gojra

Two proclaimed offenders who were members of a notorious Shah gang were shot dead during an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Gojra, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
According to the details, after receiving credible information regarding the presence of proclaimed offenders, a CCD team raided a native area near Gojra.
After taking notice of the police party, the accused started firing on the CCD team indiscriminately. The heavy exchange of firing lasted for half an hour.
After the firing was stopped, the CCD team found two injured dacoits during the search operation.
The CCD team shifted the injured dacoits to the hospital, but they breathed their last due to severe injuries.
The dead dacoits were later identified as Mohammad Waqas and Inamul Haq, alias Fauji.
Both the proclaimed offenders were wanted by the police in more than a dozen cases, including murder, dacoity, snatching, and ransom.
A spokesman of the CCD team said that two members of the Shah gang were also gunned down during a police encounter a few days ago.
A spokesman of the CCD team said that the operation against criminals will continue. They warned all the proclaimed offenders to surrender themselves before the CCD. He further said that the CCD team will ensure their rights and will treat them as per the law.
