Spain death toll hits 4,858 after 769 die in 24 hours

Spain's coronavirus toll surged above 4,800 Friday but the increase in infections slowed.

Spain currently has the world's second-highest death toll after Italy, and has so far suffered 4,858 deaths after another 769 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours, the health ministry said.
