Prices of 22 daily use items go up within one week

The rate of inflation in Pakistan has reached 15.5 percent, according to the Statistics Division of Pakistan.
This week witnessed 0.61 percent increase in inflation, according to the weekly report released by the Statistics Division. According to the report, the prices of 22 items, including flour, sugar, cooking oil, tomatoes and chicken, increased this week. The report says that prices of 22 items remained stable, while the prices of seven items decreased this week.
The price of chicken increased by Rs21 per kilogram on an average this week. The average per kilogram price of chicken reached Rs259.86 this week. The average price of sugar increased by Rs0.50 per kilogram this week. The average per kilogram price of sugar reached Rs99 this week. The price of 20kg flour bag increased by Rs9.72 this week and the price of tomatoes increased by Rs7.85 per kilogram this week, the report says.
