On the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Arif Alvi appointed senior advocate Mansoor Usman Awan as the Attorney General of Pakistan.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, President Dr Arif Alvi accepted the resignation of Attorney General Shehzad Atta Elahi and approved the appointment of Mansoor Usman Awan as the new Attorney General.
As per the channel report, President Arif Alvi accepted the resignation of Elahi and approved the appointment of Awan using the constitutional powers under Article 100 on the advice of the Prime Minister.
