DPM Dar reaffirms diplomacy, dialogue with UN chief, Turkish FM 

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed regional security and peace efforts with the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. 

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today.

Sharing a post on his X handle, the Deputy Prime Minister said we exchanged views on the evolving situation in the West Asia and its implications for international peace and security.

Ishaq Dar underscored that the United Nations remains indispensable to conflict prevention and resolution.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to diplomacy and dialogue as the only viable path to sustainable peace.

In his remarks, the UN Secretary-General expressed appreciation and extended his full support for Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts in pursuit of peace and stability in the region. 

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. 

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, the regional and global situation was discussed in the telephone conversation. The two sides discussed recent developments. Pak-Turkey Foreign Ministers Stress Importance of Dialogue and Diplomatic Efforts for Peace and Stability. Foreign Office Spokesperson said both sides agreed to remain in close contact.
