Pakistani footballer and three times Guinness World Record holder Hajra Khan has become the latest victim of online trolling for wearing a male shalwar-kameez on Eid.
The athlete confidently posed for the photo in her navy blue outfit after which someone posted saying ‘mard.’ While another person said, “All ladies outfits ran out of store. Poor girl must put on Eid wear from her brother.”

Taking to Instagram, Hajra wrote: “Clothes have no gender. Any clothing we could choose to wear is going to be inevitably gendered. We should not have to live in a world where people have to justify how they feel.”
“Having a concept of gender neutral clothing is important because it allows everyone to feel comfortable in their own bodies.” She said.
She concluded saying: “Everyone deserves to feel free and beautiful without judgement. And like James Baldwin said, “Took many years of vomiting up all the filth that I had been taught about myself and halfway believed, before I could walk around this earth like I had the right to be here.”
