Met Office warns of weather vagary spell from tomorrow

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rains with dust/thunderstorm for four days, calling upon farmers to adopt precautionary measures to avert loss.

According to spokesperson, the  weather is likely to remain unstable in Pakistan from Thursday night to Tuesday, producing rains with dust-thunderstorm at scattered places of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and AJK and at a few places of Sindh and north east Balochistan.

The official said dust-thunderstorm with rain is expected at scattered places and with intervals in KP, and Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from Thursday.

Parts of Punjab that are likely to receive scattered shower include Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khushab, Hafizabad, Gujaranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Shiekupura, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang, TT Singh, Sahiwal and Okara.

Dust-thunderstorm with rain is also expected in Quetta, Zhob, Harnai, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, DGK, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahwalnagar, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jaccobabad, Shaheed Banazirabad during Friday and Saturday, the spokesperson said, adding that dust-thunderstorm with rain is also expected in Mirpurkhas, Badin and Hyderabad on Monday.
