Azerbaijan has awarded Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani with Jubilee Medal for his parliamentary services, reported 24News HD TV channel Wednesday.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador presented Jubilee Medal to the senate chairman during an event held in connection with the National Day of Azerbaijan on Wednesday. Sanjrani is the first to get the Azerbaijanian award.

Azerbaijan has announced the Jubilee Medal award for Sadiq Sanjrani in 2019.

Senate Chairman had presented Pakistan at the 100th Anniversary of the Azeri Parliament in 2018 in Baku on the invitation of the Azeri Parliament.

Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani during a meeting with Ali Alizada, Ambassador of Azerbaijan last month emphasized the promotion of parliamentary linkages between Pakistan and Azerbaijan to enhance bilateral trade, investment, and tourism. He said the present state of bilateral economic ties did not commensurate with the potential and there is a need to explore the possibility of cooperation in diverse fields. He said the strong relationship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan was visible from the frequency of high-level interaction between the two sides and the defense cooperation is strengthening steadily. “We want our relationship to grow further by utilizing the potential” Sanjrani reiterated.
