NAB again summons Younus Dagha in sugar scandal case

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Rawalpindi has again summoned former secretary commerce Younus Dagha on June 7 as the anti-corruption watchdog’s probe into sugar subsidy scandal gathers momentum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Quoting sources, the channel reported that NAB had decided to interrogate Dagha in connection with the sugar export.
Sources further disclosed that Dagha had also been asked to provide the record of minutes of all inter-ministerial committee meetings.

Former commerce secretary has been directed to bring with him the complete record of how the sugar’s local as well international prices were determined.
The bureau has also asked him to provide all paperwork, including recommendations and summaries, related to the sugar export.

Dagha was initially summoned on April 28th, but when he did not show up at NAB, Rawalpindi’s office, he was again summoned on April 28th.
NAB, Rawalpindi has already recorded the statements of several provincial ministers as well as officers in the case.
