WB new Country Director calls on Federal Minister Ahad Cheema

The newly-appointed Country Director of the World Bank (WB) Ms. Bolormaa Amgaabazar called on Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema on Tuesday, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

The outgoing Country Director Naji Benhassin was also present during the meeting. The minister welcomed Ms. Amgaabazar, and expressed appreciation for the contributions of Benhassine during his tenure in Pakistan. 

Federal Minister said that the new Country Director will ensure cooperation in the implementation of the Country Partnership Framework. “The federal government is fully cooperating with the provinces in implementing development projects,” he added. 

The Bank Country Director said that the efforts of the government of Pakistan in implementing the CPF were commendable. The World Bank team appreciated the government’s efforts in driving reforms and strengthening collaboration with provincial governments.
