FJMU Vice Chancellor celebrates Eid with patients, doctors at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital
Fatima Jinnah Medical University VC Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, on Eid ul Adha, visited admitted patients and healthcare workers at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to celebrate the religious festival with people serving and receiving treatment at public hospitals, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
Accompanied by Medical Superintendent Dr Arif Iftikhar, Head of Medicine Prof Bilquis Shabbir, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Prof. Madeeha Rashid, Dr. Shabbir Chohan, faculty members and hospital administration officials, the vice chancellor visited the emergency department, medical and surgical wards, and the Mother and Child Block.
During the visit, he inquired after the health of patients, exchanged Eid greetings, and distributed gifts and Eidi among doctors, nurses, paramedics and other staff performing duties during the holidays.
A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to acknowledge the services of healthcare workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Gondal said Eid-ul-Adha teaches sacrifice, compassion and service to humanity, adding that people should ensure meat from sacrificial animals reaches deserving families unable to perform Qurbani this year.
