President Zardari, PM Shehbaz, Dar,  Mohsin Naqvi extend Eid greetings to nation

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have extended warm Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the people of Pakistan and Muslims around the world, urging them to embrace the values of sacrifice, compassion and unity associated with the religious festival, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

In separate messages issued on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha, the leaders said the occasion serves as a reminder of the unwavering obedience, faith and sacrifice demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), whose example continues to inspire Muslims across the globe.

President Asif Ali Zardari said the true spirit of sacrifice goes beyond personal devotion and requires people to make room in their hearts for others. 

He stressed that the happiness of Eid remains incomplete unless underprivileged families, orphans, widows, labourers, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups are included in the celebrations.

President Zardari also highlighted the importance of supporting those who quietly endure hardship without expressing their needs, calling on society to pay special attention to such individuals during the festive period.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the principles of sacrifice, unity and solidarity are essential for the lasting progress and prosperity of nations. He noted that Eid-ul-Adha provides an opportunity to strengthen collective values and reinforce social cohesion.

The Prime Minister also expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and those living in Indian-illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, saying the nation stood firmly with those facing oppression and hardship.

He prayed that Allah Almighty would accept the sacrifices of Muslims around the world, bless the Muslim Ummah with the true spirit of Eid-ul-Adha and make the world a place of peace, love and harmony.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also conveyed Eid-ul-Azha greetings to Muslims in Pakistan and across the world, wishing them peace, happiness and prosperity on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi described Eid-ul-Adha as a profound reminder of the unparalleled sacrifice, steadfast faith and complete submission to the will of Allah demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS).

He said their noble example continues to guide humanity towards the values of patience, humility, compassion, obedience and selflessness. 

The minister added that Eid encourages people to care for those facing difficulties and to strengthen the principles of tolerance, unity and social responsibility within society.

Mohsin Naqvi urged citizens to renew their commitment to helping vulnerable people and promoting dignity, harmony and collective wellbeing. 

He further said that at a time of growing global divisions and uncertainty, the message of Eid-ul-Adha calls upon humanity to foster peace, strengthen unity and uphold the principles of justice and human dignity.
