Federal government employees on Saturday announced a protest march for a 100 per cent raise in their salaries on Tuesday, November 30.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the protest march will be held from Finance Ministry to Parliament House in which employees from federal ministries, departments and divisions will take part.
The All Government Employees Grand Alliance (AGEGA) directed all the government employees to participate in the protest march to get their rights in the current high inflation.
The AGEGA Chief Coordinator Rehman Bajwa said that the march would be held in any case and all the organizations affiliated with the alliance would take part in it.
He urged the government that it should implement its written agreement of February 11, 2021.
He demanded the government to integrate all four ad-hoc allowances in the basic salaries of the employees, as well as the grades one to 16, which should be upgraded like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Demanding a time scale promotion as per the agreement, he also urged the government that Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan style disparity reduction allowance should be given.
The AGEGA leader also demanded the government that pensions should also be increased by at least 25 per cent.
