CM Afridi stages sit-in after Adiala jail admin denies meeting with Imran Khan

Khyber Paktunkhawa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has staged sit-in at Gorakhpur checkpoint near Adiala Jail after he was denied meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan, reported 24NeswHD TV Channel.     

During the last two and half hours, CM Afridi is staging sit-in with PTI workers. He is waiting for jail administration's nod to meet Imran Khan. The CM said if he was not allowed he will soon announce next plan of action.   

Earlier, talking to media, CM Afrdi said that global media is full of news and rumors about the health of PTI founder Imran Khan, resultantly concerns were growing among PTI leadership and workers, adding that if the government will not clear the situation then the nation will come to the streets. 

CM Afridi said that PTI leadership visited Adiala Jail for meeting, adding that if he was not allowed to meet Imran Khan then PTI will announce another plan of action. CM Afridi said, “We have adopted all legal and democratic methods. I wanted to join the sit-in but the founder's sisters forbade me”. He claimed that the government has any authority as negotiations were held with the government on the Founder's instructions but they have no authority. 

To a question about by-elections, KP CM said that February 8th episode was revised on November 23rd. CM Afridi said they believe that the people's trust in democracy should be eroded. In the recent by-election, 95 percent of the people did not turn out to vote. He claimed that the people of Punjab have expressed solidarity with Imran Khan by not voting in by elections.

He said IMF had submitted a charge sheet against the current government in its report. CM Afridi urged journalists to talk about the corruption of 5,300 billion. He said this money is the tax money of the common man. They have not even given up on 5,300 billion.

KP CM said unemployment was skyrocketing, young people are leaving Pakistan. He said those who looted the public mandate will be questioned. CM Afridi said he will fight the case of KP province in NFC, adding that federal government had postponed the FFC meeting four times.
