Pakistan gets victory over India at Oxford Union debate

Pakistan High Commission London has said that after the retreat of the Indian delegation, Pakistan got a landslide victory at Oxford Union debate. General MM Narva, Dr. Subramanian Swamy and Sachin Pilot withdrew from the debate. 

The topic of the debate was that India's Pakistan policy was merely a strategy to incite public sentiments. Indian speakers have to support the topic of the debate while Pakistani delegation has to reject it with logical answers. 

Pakistan High Commission London said General (r) Zubair Mahmood Hayat, former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Dr. Muhammad Faisal were present in London for the debate but the Indian delegation could not dare to attend. 

After the refusal of its certified speakers, the Indian side offered some unknown and low-level speakers who were not up to the standards of the Pakistani delegation. Attempt to replace announced Indian panel at Oxford Union with lesser alternatives seriously affected credibility and balance of debate. 

Pakistan High Commission London said the withdrawal of high-level Indian speakers and the offer of lesser alternatives have deeply embarrassed both Oxford Union and Oxford University, Pakistan High Commission London. 

The withdrawal of the Indian delegation exposed the weakness of the Indian narrative at an impartial forum like the Oxford Union. 

India's so-called security policy fails to withstand logical questions at Oxford Union. Indian analysts who spread anti-Pakistan propaganda on media disappear when given chance for open debate. The absence of the Indian delegation is the latest in a series of diplomatic and rhetorical failures since May 2025.
