Pakistan play Sri Lanka today to decide second finalist of tri-nation T20I series
The second finalist of the tri-nation T20 International (T20I) series featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will be decided today in the evening as Pakistan takes on Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
If Pakistan wins the match, it will meet Zimbabwe in the final and in case Sri Lanka loses the match, it will be out of the contest.
The Pakistanis have won all their three games so far in this series, having won all three and have qualified for the finals.
Sahibzada Farhan has been their most impressive batters, but others have struggled.
Their bowling has been much better, with Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz, who have been the most impressive with the ball.
For the Sri Lankans, it is simple, they need a win to make it into the final, and a loss leaves them out of the tournament.
They need a win and a win would make sure they face Pakistan in the final.
Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis have performed well this year, but they need their middle order to deliver, their bowling has been led by Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera.
