The Punjab Assembly has adopted a resolution regarding the inclusion of an oath about the finalization of the prophethood of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) at the time of conducting Nikah ceremony, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, the Punjab Assembly session was started 51 minutes late on Wednesday. However, the session proceedings were cut short due to the demise of a member of the assembly, Nishat Ahmad Daha.

The resolution seeking inclusion of finalization of prophethood oath in the Nikah document was adopted unanimously.

The resolution was moved jointly by PML-Q’s Khadija Umar, Bisma Chaudhry and PML-N’s Maulana Ilyas Chinioti.

Besides this, different bills including the University of Lahore Amendment Bill, Rashid Latif University and other amendment bills were presented in the provincial house which were referred to the concerned committees.
