One robber killed in shootout with police, another two escape

An alleged robber Thursday was killed in a shootout with police in Shahdara area of Lahore, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The dead, identified as Waheed, was wanted by the police in 40 cases.

Two of his accomplices managed to evade arrest and according to police, the hunt for the fugitives is on.

The police recovered mobile phones and cash too.
