Punjab Police undergoes key reshuffle, Hamza Amanullah becomes CM’s chief security officer

The Punjab government has announced major reshuffles among senior police officers, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.

According to an official notification issued by the Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police, Chief Security Officer to the Chief Minister, Usman Tipu, has been transferred and appointed as the District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal, while the outgoing DPO Sahiwal, Rana Tahir Rehman, has been posted as AIG Discipline.

Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary of Punjab has also issued a separate notification confirming the transfers and postings, introducing changes to both administrative and police positions across the province.

Hamza Amanullah, who was previously serving as PSO to the IG Punjab, has been transferred and appointed as the Chief Security Officer to the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Additionally, the services of SP Dolphin Lahore, Arsalan Zahid, and SSP Operations Multan, Ahmed Zunair Cheema, have been placed at the disposal of the Punjab Chief Minister’s office.
