CTD arrests wanted militant of banned outfit in Karachi

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday arrested an alleged fugitive militant of a banned outfit Lashkar Jhangvi Balochistan (LeJ) during an operation in New Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per details, the CTD conducted a search operation and arrested a suspect named Mir Ali Haider alias Mir Ali Nawaz belonging to outlawed Lashkar Jhangvi Balochistan (LeJ) from New Karachi Industrial Area.
The CTD released a statement in which it said that the held suspect was a wanted fugitive in several cases in Dasht Police Station, District Mastung, and was a member of a criminal family.
The CTD's in-charge Chaudhry Safdar claimed that some ammunition has been recovered from his possession and further investigation was going on.
The captured suspect, during interrogation, also confessed that he escaped a police encounter in Kerry Road Mastung Balochistan in 2011 while his brother Jamil was killed by a bullet. He further disclosed to the officials that his brother Mubashir was also killed in a police encounter in Quetta in 2015 and his killing prompted him to go underground in Karachi from Balochistan.
Meanwhile his third brother Yasin continued to work for LeJ, adding his other brothers, fearing arrest, had fled to Iran.
