Christian Study Centre organises youth leadership training on composite heritage in Punjab

The Christian Study Centre successfully organised a two-day youth leadership training workshop on composite heritage at a local hotel in Lahore, according to a press release.

The event brought together young leaders from across Punjab to explore the vital role of culture, heritage, and youth engagement in fostering peace and harmony in society.

The training opened with peace prayers and an introduction to the Christian Study Centre’s vision and composite heritage project by Souniel Mehboob, project manager.

Resource persons facilitated participants through a series of insightful sessions, including “What is Composite Heritage and How It Is Formed” by Basir Nayyer, “Exploring Different Forms of Composite Heritage” by Souniel Mehboob, and “The Role of Media in Promoting a Culture of Peace and Harmony” by Ajmal Jami, while Director Ali Ejaz shed light on Climate Justice.

On the second day, a panel of lecturers from the National College of Arts – including Ghazala Raees, Ammara Khalid, Nareeman Aziz, and Rabiya Asim – led an engaging session on the importance of arts and culture in peacebuilding and the role of youth.

The workshop concluded with participant action plan presentations, certificate distribution, and words of thanks from Souniel Mehboob.

Mehboob highlighted the significance of youth leaders in promoting peace through cultural and interfaith understanding, emphasizing that the future of Pakistan depends on inclusive values, creativity, and social responsibility.

The two-day training not only deepened participants’ understanding of composite heritage but also equipped them with practical tools to contribute positively to peacebuilding within their communities.
