Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned the violence and hate campaign against Islam and Muslims in India under the umbrella of the Modi-led BJP government.
In a statement, the Leader of the Opposition said that the hate incited against Muslims by the ruling BJP shows the influence of extremist and narrow-minded approach of BJP and RSS.
Shehbaz Sharif further added that the BJP is using state power against minorities, especially Muslims. The martyrdom of Babri Masjid, the massacre of Muslims in Gujarat, the Samjhauta Express bombing, the Citizenship Act are just a few examples of Indian extremist approach towards Muslims.
Sharif further added that the Modi government is committed to the path of Hitler by violating the sanctity of human life therefore the United Nations, the Security Council, the international community, and international human rights organizations must act and stop BJP from persecuting Muslims.
