Christian Turner invited Federal Minister Senator Sherry Rehman to attend COP27 in Denmark in May.

Sherry Rehman said that Pakistan is one of the least polluted countries in the world, adding that Pakistan's share in global pollution is only six per cent.

Sherry Rehman said that despite this, Pakistan ranked fifth in the list of countries affected by climate change.

Sherry stressed that Pakistan needs technical assistance to tackle the effects of climate change.

The implementation of a consensus partnership at the international level required cooperation in the Ministry of Energy to address capacity issues, said Sherry Rehman.

Sherry said that there is the need of holding bilateral talks between UK and Pakistan on climate change.

Sherry Rehman said women are more vulnerable to the effects of climate change than men, adding that gender should be included in climate change.

Liaison will be done with UK over investment in private sector on the mitigation and adaptation of climate change, said Sherry Rehman.
