PM calls meeting of Cabinet’s Energy Committee

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the Cabinet’s Energy Committee today to review the proposals related to gas schemes in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

As per sources, an 8-point meeting agenda, including the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Policy-2022 Agenda, would likely be presented for approval. Moreover, the provision of gas connections to new domestic consumers are also likely to be discuused. 

Additionally, Oil Refinery Policy-2023 is expected to present in the meeting for the upgradation of refineries into greenfield refineries, as well as the issue of setting up LPG Air Mix plants and the matter of tariff are also a part of the agenda. 

Furthermore, the National Electricity Plan 2023-27 will be submitted for approval, said sources.
