PTI activist Sanam Javed, husband arrested in Lahore

Lahore Police on Monday arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed and her husband, Professor Atiq, from near Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The couple was apprehended amid a heavy police presence, with multiple vehicles involved in their detention. They were taken to an undisclosed location for further investigation.

The arrest occurred after the court hearing related to the May 9 cases, which Sanam Javed had been attending.

Sanam Javed had previously been involved in the political unrest surrounding the May 9 incidents, which have led to a series of legal proceedings against several party members.

Authorities have not disclosed the exact charges against the couple at this time.
