Two ‘dacoits’ killed in police encounter in Lahore

Police in Lahore have killed two ‘dacoits’ reportedly in an encounter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Ali and Zafar Iqbal, who had escaped from police custody.
According to reports, cops in the jurisdiction of Sattoo Katla police station of the city signaled both suspects to stop.
But instead of stopping, they opened fire at the police.
This led to an encounter, which resulted in the deaths of both of them.
Police said that the slain persons had formed a gang called ‘Safaya’ which would commit robberies in houses in different cities of Punjab, including Lahore.
