Lightning claims lives of young boy and girl in Qambar

Two people including a boy and a girl died and three women were injured in three different incidents of lightning in Qambar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to the report, 11-year-old Rehan Chandio died due to lightning in village Siro of Miro Khan while 12-year-old girl Aza Tagar also lost her life due to lightning in village Lakhmir Tagar.

Three women Farzana Chandio, Hina and Naveeda Chandio were injured when lightning struck a house in village Qaim Khan Chandio.

The injured were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital of Qambar where they were provided medical assistance.

Meanwhile, lightning struck at two different places in Shikarpur and badly affected crops and trees.

Lightning struck wheat crop in village Qadir Bakhsh Brohi near Tehsil Garhi Yasin, Shikarpur and caused heavy damage to wheat crop.

Further, lightning also set date palm trees on fire. 

Lightning also struck Alam Saadkhani village of Tehsil Lakki Ghulam Shah and caused livestock fodder to catch fire.

However, no casualties were reported due to lightning.
