Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has decided to prevent the helicopter of the KP chief minister from landing in the Governor’s House, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

“No one has come to the Governor’s House to congratulate me [on becoming the governor]. I asked for the helicopter to visit DI Khan three times, and every time I was denied,” he said while talking to the media in Peshawar.

“They have made the helicopter their personal property. I have not rejected the bill [sent by the KP Assembly]. I have only returned it for reconsideration,” he added.

“Legislation should be carried out on the helicopter issue. For nine years, such a legislation has been carried out that no one could question anything,” he castigated.

“Even such an oppression is found in the society of those who make tall claims about establishing the State of Madinah,” he deplored.

“In the bill they have sent, it was demanded that the helicopters should be given to the provincial advisers, assistants and ministers,” he maintained.

“We are cleaning the trash of the past. I had advised on the helicopter issue that the bill should be reconsidered. What is the need for new legislation on the helicopter issue?” he remarked.

“Today, people do not have clean water. We, in collaboration with the provincial government, want to take the rights of the province from the federal government,” he pointed out.

The KP governor also said that one helicopter was malfunctioned while the other was in use of the chief minister.

“The statement of Barrister Saif was contrary to that of the provincial government. I will check the bill, that has been sent back to me, and return it again,” he added.

He also pledged to approach the court on the issue of the bill.

“The country is in a big trouble right now. Today, the chief minister cannot even go to Swat and ask for votes,” he stated.
