Man and wife die after consuming poisonous food in Faisalabad

A man and his wife died after allegedly consuming poisonous food in the Zainir Town area of Faisalabad, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

According to initial details, a young man identified as Rahman had brought food items from a local bakery for consumption.

Shortly after eating the food, both Rehman and his wife, Natasha, reportedly fell seriously ill.

The couple was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors attempted emergency treatment.

However, both Rahman and Natasha succumbed to their condition during treatment.

Their bodies were later shifted to the hospital morgue for post-mortem procedures.

Ghulam Muhammadabad Police Station has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.

Officials said samples of the suspected food may be sent for laboratory analysis, while further inquiries are underway to establish whether the deaths were the result of food poisoning or another cause.
