Peshawar man kills wife and her lover in ‘honour’ attack, daughter injured

A man allegedly murdered his wife and her lover in a brutal “honour” killing in Peshawar, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.

The tragic incident occurred in the Daudzai area, with the accused fleeing the scene immediately after committing the crime.

Authorities said that a heavy contingent of police was dispatched to the location after receiving the report, and the victims’ bodies were shifted to a local hospital for autopsy. Investigations into the case have since begun.

This incident follows a similar tragedy in November 2025, when a man shot and killed his wife and injured his daughter in the jurisdiction of Mechani Gate Police Station.

According to the FIR filed by Waheed ur Rehman, a resident of Sabz Ali Town, his 65-year-old aunt, Rameem Bibi, and his cousin Alia, daughter of Gohar Rehman, were at home when the accused, Gohar Rehman, allegedly entered the house armed with a weapon.

He reportedly opened fire on his wife and daughter, leaving both critically injured. They were rushed to the hospital, but the wife succumbed to her injuries en route, while the daughter remains unconscious.

The complainant stated that the attack stemmed from a property dispute, as the accused had allegedly pressured his wife to claim his share in his parents’ estate.

Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to apprehend the suspect.
