Fake appointees in Balochistan Welfare Department kicked out

The Balochistan government has annulled all fake recruitments in the Population Welfare Department, citing massive irregularities in appointments made during 2021 and 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Friday.

According to a notification issued after a thorough investigation, the fraudulent hiring was nullified on the orders of the Chief Secretary of Balochistan.

Sources confirm that dozens of positions were filled without merit, raising serious questions about administrative oversight in government institutions.

This scandal follows a similar revelation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where employees of the KP Assembly were found to have secured jobs using fake degrees.

Just ten days ago, a major scandal erupted in the KP Assembly, where several employees were found to have fraudulent academic qualifications.

Speaker Babar Saleem Swati took immediate notice and ordered an official probe led by Peshawar University’s Vice Chancellor. A high-level meeting was held in the Speaker’s Chamber, attended by senior assembly officials and university examiners.

The investigation aims to verify all educational certificates of Assembly Secretariat employees and weed out unqualified personnel.

Speaker Swati emphasised the need for transparency, acknowledging that the Assembly had operated without a formal recruitment act for decades, leading to these irregularities.

The verification process is now in full swing, with the Assembly Administration closely monitoring proceedings to ensure transparency.
