PM Shehbaz pledges support to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE amid Iran-Israel war
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Saturday evening to discuss the rapidly evolving regional situation following Israel’s attack on Iran.
During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the serious regional tensions that have emerged as a result of Israeli strikes on Iran and the subsequent unfortunate attacks reported in some Gulf countries. He warned that such actions are extremely dangerous for regional peace and stability and could further aggravate the already fragile security environment in the Middle East.
The prime minister assured Pakistan’s complete solidarity and full support to the Saudi leadership in the current situation, stating that Pakistan would stand by its Saudi brothers and sisters in all circumstances and at every difficult moment.
He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to supporting the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the deep-rooted brotherly ties between the two nations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed that Pakistan is ready to play a constructive and positive role at this critical juncture to promote peace and de-escalation in the region.
Expressing hope for stability, the Prime Minister prayed that peace, harmony, and security would soon be restored in the region with the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan.
PM Shehbaz reaffirms solidarity with Qatar Emir
PM Shehbaz also held a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Saturday evening to discuss the deteriorating regional situation following Israel’s attack on Iran.
During the call, Sharif condemned the serious tensions that have emerged in the region as a result of the Israeli strike on Iran, which has been followed by attacks in Qatar and other Gulf countries. He described the situation as extremely worrying for regional peace and stability.
Referring to his recent meeting in Doha, Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s complete solidarity and unwavering support to the brotherly State of Qatar in the current crisis. He assured the Qatari leadership that Pakistan would always stand by Qatar and its people in challenging times.
The PM also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a positive and constructive role for peace, stability, and de-escalation in the region.
He stressed that lasting peace in the Middle East could only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual respect, emphasizing the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful means.
PM assures full support to UAE leadership
Sharif held telephonic conversation with UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan this evening. He strongly condemned the serious regional tensions as a result of Israel's attack on Iran today, followed by regrettable strikes against the UAE and other Gulf countries.
Shehbaz Sharif assured Pakistan's full solidarity and support to the leadership and people of the UAE in this difficult hour. He said Pakistan will always stand by its Emirati brethren as the strong brotherly relations between the two countries have stood the test of time.
He expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic death of a Pakistani citizen in a missile attack on Abu Dhabi and expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
