Veteran Pashto poet Mushtaq Majrooh Yousafzai passes away

Veteran Pashto writer and poet Mushtaq Majrooh Yousafzai passed away on Thursday in Hayatabad Hospital in Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He was hospitalized for over a month due to a respiratory problem. He was 65.

Late Mushtaq Majrooh will be laid to rest in Toru Mayar graveyard in Mardan.

He was the author of several books and research studies and he was heading a prominent literary organisation ‘Da Sahu Leekunkio Adabi Maraka’ in Peshawar since 2003 for the grooming up budding literati after the death of its founder Qalandar Momand. 

He was the secretary-general of Da Sahu Leekunkio Adabi Maraka.
