Dead body of a four-year-old boy, who had fallen into a boring well, has been retrieved after 18 days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Locals on self-help basis, in Alam Godar area of Khyber, dug up an 85 metres deep hole adjacent to the well with the help of machinery.  The four-year-old boy on January 10 had fallen into an 85 metres deep boring well. 

Rescuers had tried hard to rescue the child during the first two days when the boy had fallen into the boring well but their efforts failed to bear fruits. The people, on January 11, declaring the boring well a grave, had also offered funeral prayer of the child. 

On January 12, locals, with the help of heavy machinery, started digging a parallel hole. Hundreds of citizens had gathered there when the dead body was retrieved.
