Sajal Aly to play role of ‘Umrao Jaan Ada’

Pakistan celeb Sajal Aly is going to play the role of ‘Umrao Jaan Ada’.

After having proved her mettle in Lollywood, Sajal has made her debut in Hollywood.

The ‘Umrao Jaan Ada’ is a classical Urdu novel which was first written in 1899 by Mirza Hadi Ruswa.

The novel reflects the culture and society of the 19th-century Indian subcontinent, especially the royal and Mughal lifestyle.

The producers of ‘Umrao Jaan Ada’ are Hamid Hussain and Muhammad Yasoob.

Hamid Hussain told the foreign media that there are 2 female lead roles, one of which is played by Sajal Aly.

Further, he gave more details about the series. He stated that there is much more in the novel that has never been shown in any audio-visual project whereas, it had been included in 8 parts of the series.
