An accountability court in Lahore on Tuesday extended the judicial remand of Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz till August 10 in assets beyond income case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the hearing, the court also directed the investigation officer to present the reference against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader as soon as possible.

Separately, PML-N member Hina Pervez Butt on Tuesday submitted a resolution in Punjab Assembly demanding the release of Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz.

Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on July 14 issued production orders for Hamza Shehbaz Sharif for his participation in the assembly session on July 15. The Punjab Assembly session has now been adjourned for 10 days.
