Indus Motor Company, the manufacturers and assemblers of Toyota brand vehicles in Pakistan, has extended the delivery date of vehicles by three months citing the current economic crisis prevailing in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the officials, the company is unable to deliver the cars on time because it is facing obstacles in opening LC to import the car parts and thus has increased the delivery time by three months.

The company apologises to the customers for the inconvenience and also offered that if the customers want they can claim 100% of their booking payments back.

The senior officials of Toyota blamed it all on the current economic crisis and said that because of the increase in US dollar price against Pakistan rupee they were unable to open LC in the banks for the imports of the necessary parts to assemble the vehicles.

“We are unable to import car parts and therefore due to lack of availability, we cannot manufacture the required vehicles,” they added.

Due to all this, Toyota has extended the delivery time up to three months.
