A huge increase in gold prices surprise Pakistani market

The gold prices once again starts a big hike in the Pakistani market which surprised the jewellers and the masses as yellow metal jewellery has gone out of reach of the general public in the country.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the prices of the 24 karats of pure gold in the Pakistani gold market jumped high by Rs2,600 per tola to Rs2,24,700 per tola on Thursday.

The price of 10 grams of the 24 karats of pure gold increased by Rs2,230 and was traded at Rs1,92,644 per 10 grams in the Pakistani market.

Rates of the gold of 22 karats that is usually used for making jewellery in Pakistan were also increased and traded at Rs1,68,564 per 10 grams.

The rates of gold in the international market on Thursday also increased by US$3 per ounce to US$1,975 per ounce.

The price of pure silver of 24 karats did not change and traded at Rs2,750 per tola and Rs2,357.68 per 10 grams in the local market.

It is worth mentioning that gold prices have already increased by Rs15,000 per tola in the last week.
