After 'Sindoor' fails, India launches 'Operation Mahadev' in Occupied Kashmir

After Operation Sindoor's failure, India's plan to use 779 Pakistani detainees in fake encounters under the new "Operation Mahadev" which was launched in the Occupied Kashmir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Credible security sources exposed a sinister Indian plan titled “Operation Mahadev” aimed at reviving the political image of the ruling BJP and suppressing the Kashmir freedom movement.

According to the security sources, the military operation reportedly involves staging fake encounters using innocent Pakistani detainees held in Indian custody.

“Operation Mahadev” is being launched to overshadow the recent failure of “Operation Sindoor” and to present it as a successful military campaign in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

By portraying it as a strategic victory, the Indian government hopes to deflect attention from the past failures and bolster Prime Minister Modi’s domestic political standing.

This covert operation follows a troubling precedent, as after the Pahalgam false-flag operation, the Indian army had initiated a series of staged encounters.

One such incident occurred on April 24, when two civilians from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Farooq and Muhammad Deen, mistakenly crossed the border and were brutally killed by Indian forces in a staged operation.

As part of this continuing campaign, detainees held in various Indian jails are reportedly being eliminated and then posthumously labelled as cross-border terrorists from Pakistan under “Operation Mahadev.”

The DG ISPR, in his press conferences on April 29 and 30, had already highlighted the plight of 723 Pakistani citizens unlawfully detained in Indian prisons. He also revealed the cases of 56 more individuals held in forced and illegal custody by Indian intelligence agencies.

In line with this alarming strategy, Indian media have been pre-fed with videos and images showing these detainees' bodies alongside planted weapons and staged combat evidence, ensuring instant propaganda value after the encounters.

Verified intelligence further suggests that detainees are being coerced into giving false statements on camera, denouncing Pakistan, and confessing to fabricated terror plots.

These statements, made under duress, are part of India’s broader psychological and media warfare agenda against Pakistan.

The Indian army is notorious for such actions, especially in occupied Kashmir, where it has long been labelled as a “fake encounter specialist.”

Operation Mahadev, therefore, is not a new chapter but a continuation of this disturbing trend of extrajudicial killings masked as counter-terrorism efforts.
