Two opposition MPAs suspended for slapping PML-N's Hassan Riaz during PA session

Opposition member of Punjab Assembly Khalid Nisar Dogar slapped at the face of PML-N MPA Hassan Riaz after verbal attack between the two during provincial assembly session on Monday, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

Acting Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar suspended the membership of Opposition two MPAs over their misbehavior with ruling party’s MPA. 

Punjab Assembly Secretariat has issued the notification in this regard. Khalid Zubair Nisar attacked Hassan Riaz and Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood who challenged the authority of the acting speaker. Under Rules 210, the membership of Khalid Zubair Nisar and Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood was suspended for the next 15 sessions, notification said. 

Earlier, Acting Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar adjourned the meeting of the assembly for five minutes to bring the situation to normalcy. 

According to the officials, a sudden scuffle broke out between government assembly member Hassan Riaz and opposition member Khalid Nisar Dogar after they were criticizing the leadership of each other. 

Provincial Minister Zeeshan Rafique also jumped into the fray to calm the situation. The acting speaker repeatedly warned Hassan Riaz and Zeeshan Rafiq, but they did not stop. Assembly members started slapping each other. 

Malik Zaheer Iqbal adjourned the session of the assembly for five minutes.
