Dar invites US investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met a US Congressional delegation and a 33-member US business delegation at the Foreign Office on Tuesday, reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation with the United States.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar said Pakistan-US relations were moving in a positive direction under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and US President Donald Trump.

The deputy prime minister underscored Pakistan's commitment to further enhancing parliamentary ties, promoting economic cooperation and strengthening people-to-people contacts between the two countries.

Highlighting Pakistan's economic potential, Dar said there were vast opportunities for collaboration in key sectors, including trade, investment, technology, energy and agriculture. He encouraged American businesses to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, describing the country as an attractive destination for long-term partnerships.

Dar assured the visiting delegation that the government remained committed to facilitating foreign investment through economic reforms, investor-friendly policies and measures aimed at fostering sustainable business partnerships.

The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral engagement and exploring avenues for expanding commercial and investment cooperation between Pakistan and the United States.
