Faysal Quraishi reacts to Mohammed Ahmed's shocking claim
Veteran Pakistani actor and writer Mohammed Ahmed has opened up about an upsetting experience with a now famous male actor and claimed that he was repeatedly mocked and humiliated during a television shoot.
Speaking on Sheeba Khan's Dareecha Podcast, Mohammed Ahmed alleged that the actor ridiculed his appearance, acting style and hairstyle in front of cast and crew members.
He recalled that the actor even picked up a portable fan and held it over his head like a hairdryer while joking that he was "styling" his hair.
The senior actor said the behaviour continued across different projects.
He claimed the actor would loudly make remarks about his leather bag, question why producers kept casting him despite his "same acting" and "same hairstyle," and repeatedly tried to embarrass him in front of others.
"I was humiliated. I completed my work and came home," Mohammed Ahmed said, explaining that he chose not to react because he did not want to stoop to the actor's level or create a public scene.
He also noted that in today's age of smartphones and cameras, any confrontation could easily have been recorded and taken out of context.
Mohammed Ahmed further revealed that he had once praised the actor's talent with further adding that the unnamed performer later went on to become one of the industry's biggest stars.
The interview urged fellow veteran actor Faysal Quraishi to publicly comment on the clip.
Responding to Mohammed Ahmed's revelation, Faysal wrote, "Naam batayien sir Muhammad Ahmed sahab, main jaano aur phir who."
Mohammed Ahmed is regarded as one of Pakistan's most respected actors and writers.
He has earned praise for his performances in acclaimed dramas including Mere Paas Tum Ho, Parizaad, Raqeeb Se and Khaie, while also contributing to the industry as a screenwriter with dramas like Azar Ki Ayagi Baraat, Kuch Ankahi and Dhund.
