Federal govt employees stage demo outside Finance Ministry

The federal government employees from Grade-1 to Grade-16 held a protest demonstration opposite the Federal Ministry of Finance and Revenue in Islamabad on Tuesday, demanding a 150 percent disparity allowance as already given to officials from Grade-17 to Grade-22, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The government employees from the Federal Secretariat, Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Electric Supply Corporation (IESCO) participated in the protest.

Later, the employees from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and other relevant departments joined the protest.

The employees said that Executive Allowance was already given to officials from Grade-17 to Grade-22. They said that Executive Allowance raised the salary from Rs70,000 to Rs2,00,000 for the officer.

They said that employees from Grade-1 to Grade-16 only get Rs3,000 to Rs7,000 increase.

They demanded that 150 Disparity Allowance must be granted to employees from Grade-1 to Grade-16.
