PPP refuses to accept Mirpur election results, says Bilawal Bhutto
PPP chairman says party will get all its seats back: Announces rally in Muzaffarabad on July 30: Asks state to decide whether national interest is supreme or that of PML-N: Proposes formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Tuesday that the people of Mirpur had reposed their trust in the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) by electing its candidates, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the party workers at Muzzafarabad, he said that unfortunately depriving a political party of its mandate was called democracy in Pakistan.
He made it clear that the PPP would not remain silent on this rigging, and would not accept the election results. “Every person knows that the people of Mirpur have voted in favour of the PPP,” Bilawal said, adding the party would get all those seats back on which its candidates had won.
He lamented that national interests were sacrificed in the country.
The PPP chairman said that the party would not allow Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to become Indian occupied Kashmir.
Bilawal said that the PPP had remain tightlipped for the last two years only in the national interest, not in the PML-N’s interest.

He said that a conspiracy had been hatched prior to the holding of elections.
He differed with the PTI’s decision to boycott the general elections in the AJK.
He said that a party could not get its rights by boycotting the polls.
He announced that the PPP would hold a rally in Muzaffarabad on July 30. “The rally will give a message loud and clear that nobody will be allowed to steal the mandate of the people of AJK.”
The PPP chairman said that the party would not allow the PML-N to rob it of its mandate in the elections to be held in Muzaffarabad.
He made it clear that he could not tolerate the killings of PPP workers. “Please do not force me to take extreme steps,” he warned.

He said that it was for the state to decide whether the national interest was supreme, or that of the PML-N.
He said that the PML-N did the same thing which it had done in the previous elections.
Bilawal said he was not willing to accept that a PPP candidate, Chaudhry Yasin, could lose the election from his ancestral constituency.
He said he had a solution to the protests that had erupted in AJK. “The solution to all ills afflicting the area lies in negotiations,” PPP chairman opined.
He suggested the formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission at the national level, which would identify those responsible for deterioration in the situation.
